Our purpose

Our purpose is to help people understand and discuss nutrition evidence with care. Clear explanations, sound methods and access to original sources are central to that work.

Make scientific questions easier to examine

Nutrition brings together questions about nutrients, foods, people and the systems in which they live. We organise our guides around those questions, explaining terms and showing readers where to look next.

The aim is practical: a reader should leave with a better understanding of a concept, a stronger question to ask of a paper or a useful source for further work.

Support thoughtful learning

Reading a paper and using its findings are different tasks. Our learning paths connect subject knowledge with research methods, interpretation and reporting. They can be used for independent study or to prepare a teaching discussion.

Encourage useful contributions

Scientific exchange benefits from people with different methods, experience and professional perspectives. We invite proposals that explain the question, the audience and the intended contribution. Sources, relevant interests and permissions should be clear from the outset.
